Cameron Churchill (Nova Southeastern) closed out the seven innings of the continuation game allowing only three hits while striking out six. Jordan Gillerman (St. John&rsquo;s) helped the Cats with a three run home run bringing home Andy Weber (Virginia) and fellow St. John&rsquo;s teammate Anthony Brocato, while fellow Red Storm, Gui Gingras (St. John&rsquo;s) also hit a home run for the Cats in the top of the seventh inning.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe Cats fell 7-0 in game two Saturday night with Ben Hoffman (Monmouth) taking the loss for Thunder Bay. Hoffman went 1.2 innings allowing five runs on three hits while Mitch Bigras (Boston College) threw his first and only inning in a Border Cats jersey allowing only two hits.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIn the last game for the 2016 Border Cats Tyler Moskalyk (Winnipeg) was handed the loss after 6.1 innings of work allowing eight runs on eight hits while striking out three. Anthony Brocato (St. John&rsquo;s) notched four hits in five at bats and one run while Gui Gingras (St. John&rsquo;s) put on one run and one RBI.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t___\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<em>The Thunder Bay Border Cats are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Playing its 23rd season of summer collegiate baseball, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 150 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (WAS) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (DET), Curtis Granderson (NYM), Lucas Duda (NYM) and Ben Zobrist (CHC).
