Traverse City\u2019s Andrew Hoffmann was named Pitcher of the Year. Josh Rebandt was named the Manager of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Andrew Hoffmann, a right-handed freshman at Oakland University, appeared in 12 games and tied for the league lead with eight wins and had a league low 1.08 ERA. He had 43 strikeouts in 58.1 innings pitched and was also a mid-season All-Star selection.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In his first season as the Traverse City manager, Rebandt led the team to the best overall record in the league at 52-20 and were the First and Second Half Champions in the Great Lakes East Division. The team tied the league\u2019s record for wins in a season (52) and went on to set the league record with consecutive wins in a season at 18 and set the league record for shutouts in a season at 14.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Traverse City Pit Spitters led all teams with five selections while the St. Cloud Rox and the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters each had four players.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Other Pit Spitters named to the team were P Kyle Jones, OF Michael Slaten, IF Mario Camiletti and IF Andrew Morrow.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jones<\/strong>, a right-handed freshman from the University of Toledo, went 6-2 (9<sup>th<\/sup> in the league) on the season with a 2.72 ERA (7<sup>th<\/sup> in the league). Jones also pitched the Pit Spitters\u2019 only complete game shutout on June 16 against Rockford.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Slaten,<\/strong> a junior from Benedictine College, had an all-around season. He led the league with eight triples, was third in doubles with 19, hit four home runs with 29 RBIs while hitting .299 on the season. He also had 18 stolen bases.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Camiletti<\/strong> is a sophomore from Oakland University.\u00a0 He hit .297 with 47 runs, 73 hits and 29 RBIs.
