Five Waterloo Bucks (21-10) produced multi-hit games while the lineup pounded out 15 base hits in a 10-3 win over the Willmar Stingers (15-18) on Friday night, opening the Bucks’ four-game homestand with a victory. Chris Seng (3-for-4, BB, 2 R, 2 RBI) and Jalen Smith (3-for-5, R, RBI) each had three hits while Ryan McNally (2-for-4, R, 2B, RBI), Drew Bianco (2-for-4, R, RBI, 2 SB) and Johnny Tincher (2-for-4, 2 R, RBI) added two apiece. Waterloo went 9-for-14 (.643) with runners in scoring position and turned a season-high three double plays to limit the Stingers to just three runs on 10 hits.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cameron Repetti won his third game of 2021 with a 6.0-inning gem, scattering eight hits and just one walk to allow three runs while striking out four. The righthander threw 79 pitches, 50 for strikes, and rebounded well from a two-run first to showcase his highly-competitive stuff by going a career-high six frames.<\/p>\n

Trailing 2-0 in the home half of the second, Tincher and McNally cracked back-to-back singles before scoring on a two-out game-tying two-run Blaine Marchman (1-for-3, BB, R, 2B, 2 RBI) double blasted to right.<\/p>\n

The Bucks blew the game open in the third as Seng drew a leadoff walk and Smith lined a single to right, then two batters later Reuben Church (1-for-4, R, RBI) skipped an RBI single off the Stingers shortstop to plate the speedy Seng and move Smith to third. Tincher singled home Smith, then McNally ripped a double down the rightfield line, scoring Church. Bianco closed out a four-run third with a rocket RBI single back up the middle.<\/p>\n

One more came across for Waterloo in the fourth as Sam Biller (1-for-4, R, 2B) doubled and scored on a throwing error.<\/p>\n

Now holding a 7-3 lead entering the bottom of the sixth, Bianco led off with a single and stole second before scoring on a Seng two-out single. Seng moved to third on a throwing error at the end of the scoring sequence, crossing home one batter later on a Smith RBI single roped into center. The Bucks tallied their final run in the eighth as Blaine Marchman walked and later scored on Seng’s third hit of the night.<\/p>\n

Logan Jones (1.0 IP, H, 0 R, 0 BB), Amir Asghar (1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, BB) and Blaze Pontes (1.0 IP, H, 0 R, BB, 3 K) closed things out with a combined 3.0 scoreless innings of relief.<\/p>\n
