ROCHESTER, Minn. \u2013 There are two sides to every story. On Saturday night one side said the Bucks lost by six runs, and the other said they allowed 17.<\/span><\/p>\n

Coming off a road win in Duluth the Waterloo Bucks (6-19) were feeling confident heading back into Rochester where they fell in walk-off fashion on their last trip. However, a similar story would play out as for the second straight game at Mayo Field the Rochester Honkers (11-14) jumped out to a 7-1 lead through two innings.<\/span><\/p>\n

And just like the game prior when the Bucks came back to tie it, the Bucks cut into the deficit when Liam Critchett hit his second home run in two games to left field, Colin Kasperbauer hit an RBI single, and Ryan Guardino hit a sac fly to bring the game within four, 7-3.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Honkers, however, were not about to have the same fate happen to them twice. Rochester struck back for two runs each in the third and fourth to bring the game to an 11-3 lead.<\/span><\/p>\n

Although not much, the Bucks scored two unanswered runs with a run each in the fifth and sixth innings to cut the Honker lead to six.<\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s when the wheels fell off the bus for Waterloo. The Honkers scored six runs, off six hits, on a combination of three Buck pitchers. That half inning made the game a blowout, 17-5.<\/span><\/p>\n

Feeling confident the Honkers put in Joey Cammarata, a pitcher who had struggled mightily just a couple of games prior against Eau Claire. And struggle he did, as Cammarata walked four batters, hitting a couple more as the Bucks were able to score five runs off just one base hit in the eighth inning to put up a football score of 17-10.<\/span><\/p>\n

After a three up, three down inning for Rochester in the bottom of the eighth, the Bucks weren\u2019t done scoring as in the top of the ninth the Bucks got the bases loaded again, and scored one off Ryan Guardino\u2019s second sac fly of the night to bring the ballgame to its eventual final score of 17-11.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s Waterloo’s first game this season in which both teams scored double digits. The Honkers and Bucks rematch tomorrow from Mayo Field in Rochester at a special Sunday start time of 5:05 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n
