LA CROSSE- In a thrilling game of comebacks Saturday night, the Waterloo Bucks scored seven in the ninth inning to take the lead from the La Crosse Loggers. But the Bucks defense couldn’t stop the Loggers walk off home run in the bottom of the ninth, dropping the game 11-10.<\/div>\n

The Bucks were on a roll Saturday night on both sides of the plate for the first part of the game, they were up 3-1 in the beginning of the eighth thanks in part to a Frazier Hall home run and sacrifice fly, and Pat Stover’s base hit in the sixth. But the bottom of the eighth would show a Loggers comeback, as they scored five, going up 6-3.<\/div>\n

Waterloo quickly answered back in the top of the ninth inning, scoring an astounding seven run, to top the Loggers 10-6. Every player helped out in the ninth, with Hall, Willie Argo, Zach McCool, and Kevin Wager all bringing in one run a piece and Michael Giller launching a two-run home run to bring the Bucks to 10 runs.<\/div>\n

Right-handed thrower Scott Williams took the mound for the Bucks, facing the Loggers for seven innings and only giving up one run. In the top of the eighth the Bucks were ahead 3-1, but the damage would be done in the last inning and a half. Three pitchers would take the mound in the last part of the game, giving up ten runs collectively, with closer Zach Cooper giving up the final 3-run walk off home run, that ended the game.<\/div>\n

The Bucks travel to Eau Claire Sunday night for a 6:05 match-up with the Express. They stay in Eau Claire Monday to finish up their last game of the regular season.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
