                 It seems even a road trip cannot slow down the Waterloo Bucks. The Bucks (3-0) stayed hot, pulling off a 7-4 win on the road against the Battle Creek Bombers (1-2) earlier tonight.<\/div>\n
                The Bucks wasted little time on offense, exploding for four of their seven runs right away in the first inning. Eight different Bucks got a hit in the game, and five different players had an RBI, including two from RF Phil Keppler. Third baseman Zach McCool (pictured above) was in the zone at the plate, batting a perfect 4-4 on the night. He also had one RBI and pushed his batting average up to .455. First baseman Jake Astor also showed no signs of cooling off anytime soon, batting 2-4 and pushing his batting average up to .455 as well.<\/div>\n
On the mound, Taylor Massey earned his first win of the season as the Bucks starting pitcher after pitching six innings. Massey struck out one batter but gave up seven hits and two runs before being replaced by RP Greg Williams. Williams’ time on the mound was brief and he was replaced by Billy Barrett before the end of the inning. Luke Putz finished out the game pitching for the Bucks holding the Bombers scoreless during his time on the mound, shutting down the Bombers’ late rally attempt. Chris Howard was credited as the losing pitcher for the Bombers after coming in for starting pitcher Jon Weaver.<\/div>\n

                The Bucks and Bombers square off again tomorrow night, marking the second game of a three-game series. Game time is scheduled for 6:05 P.M. CT at C.O. Brown Stadium in Battle Creek, MI.
