The third time was the charm for the Bucks. After three tries, Waterloo (7-5) can head back to Riverfront Stadium with their heads held high after winning today’s game, the final game of their series against the Madison Mallards (5-5) by a score of 2-1.<\/div>\n
                Zach Cooper (0-1) started the game at pitcher for the Bucks, but was removed after only two innings due to pitch-count issues. Cooper pitched well during those two innings keeping the Mallards scoreless and hitless while recording two strikeouts. Utility pitcher Phil Keppler (1-0) earned the win after replacing Cooper on the mound and allowing only two hits in three innings. The Bucks also used Matt Grabowski and Luke Putz for two innings apiece. Putz earned his fourth save of the season while striking out three Mallards in two innings. Madison used a total of six different pitchers during the game after removing starting pitcher Dillon Napoleon after three innings. Reserve pitcher Rusty Shellhorn recorded the loss for the Mallards after allowing two hits and one run in a single inning on the mound.<\/div>\n
                The Bucks pounded the Mallards on offense for a total of nine hits in the game. Six different Bucks recorded a hit on the game, including CF Landon Anderson’s 3-5 performance at the plate. 2B Tyler Robbins also kept his rhythm at the plate following up last night’s three-hit performance by batting 2-4 today. Robbins now has the highest batting average on the team at .385. The Bucks got runs out of both 1B Jake Astor and RF Nick Anderson.<\/div>\n
                But perhaps the most impressive statistic of the game for the Bucks came in the field. After shooting themselves in the foot with errors last night, Waterloo responded today with perfect fielding and zero errors.<\/div>\n

                The Waterloo Bucks return to home tomorrow to take on the La Crosse Loggers for the second time this season. Game time is scheduled for 6:35 with gates set to open at 5:30. The Bucks will look to make it two in a row and conquer the second place Loggers.<\/div>\n
