There is no better welcome home than a win, and that’s just what the Bucks got tonight. After being on the road for the weekend, Bucks return home to face the La Crosse Loggers in a three game series. Tonights game ended 4-2, timbering the Loggers to the Bucks.<\/p>\n
The Bucks fielding had a couple hiccups tonight with two errors but recovered with two double plays for the night. In the top of the third, center fielder Landon Anderson made a acrobatic catch and quickly fired to first for the first double. The second was executed by Zach McCool and Ellis Lowe in the eight inning.<\/p>\n
At bat the Bucks had back-to-back innings of hits. In the fifth inning Lowe’s single brought in Tyler Spillner and Pat Stover, and took the team lead in RBIs for the night. Anderson then led off the sixth inning for the Bucks hitting the first homerun of the season. McCool followed suit barely knicking the top of the left field fence for an easy double. Tyler Spillner brought McCool in with a solid base hit, bringing the Bucks to a 4-0 lead in sixth. Lowe lead the team in RBIs tonight, bringing in two of the four runs earned.<\/p>\n
Jarod Wagoner (3-0) started the night on the mound and was credited with the win after allowing five hits and two earned runs in seven innings. Billy Barrett (1-0) and Eddie Medina (0-0) both followed Wagoner with brief appearances on the mound. Barret pitched for one and third innings allowing one hit and striking out Logger Chris O’Dowd swinging. Medina took over late in the ninth, making his first Northwoods League appearance, pitching just seven pitches, striking out Logger Tony Mueller looking. The game ended with right fielder Nick Anderson catching a foul popup.<\/p>\n
