                It may not be as pretty as last night’s 15-0 win, but at the end of the night the Waterloo Bucks (15-12) left Witter Field with their second win in a row. The Bucks edged the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (9-16) in ten innings by a score of 4-3.<\/div>\n
                For the second straight night, the Bucks received a major spark from their offense. Eight different players combined for twelve hits on the night, including RF Landon Anderson’s impressive three-for-five night at the plate. Waterloo also received two hits from both DH Pat Stover and LF Nick Anderson, as well as RBIs from 1B Ryan Rieger, C Jeremy Lucas, and SS Chase Jaramillo.<\/div>\n
                Bucks’ closer Luke Putz (1-1) was awarded the win after pitching the final two innings of the game. Putz (pictured) allowed only one run while striking out two Rafters during his time on the mound. Putz was one of four pitchers used by Waterloo after starting pitcher Mitch Mormann was replaced in the sixth inning. Mormann allowed only two runs and struck out three Rafters in his debut as a starting pitcher for the Bucks. Wisconsin Rapids’ relief pitcher Brad Douthit (0-4) was handed the loss after giving up the winning run in the top of the tenth inning.<\/div>\n

                The Rafters will get one last chance for revenge at home tomorrow night at Witter Field. The Bucks and Rafters will square off for in the final game of the series at 7:05 P.M. Bucks’ pitcher Billy Barrett (1-0) will make the start tomorrow night against Rafters’ starting pitcher Matt Baudino (1-3). As the sweep-hungry Bucks look to move up in the South Division rankings, the Rafters will look to steal the final win of the series tomorrow night.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
