 The Waterloo Bucks suffered a loss from the Wisconsin Woodchucks Saturday, July 24 at Riverfront Stadium.  The Bucks returned home from a two game series rain-out in Battle Creek looking for a win, but fell short with a 7-0 loss against the Woodchucks.<\/p>\n

Bucks played strong defense in all but two innings.  Wisconsin scored their seven runs of the night in the of third and fourth innings.  Bucks’ defense recorded four errors on the night but did manage a double play.  Starting pitcher, Jared Wagoner, threw six innings, giving up eleven hits and seven runs, two of which were unearned.  Paul Twining relieved Wagoner in the seventh striking out one and walking one.  Closing the game, Mitch Mormann threw for two innings, giving up Wisconsin’s final hit and striking out two.

\nAt the plate the Bucks struggled to get hits past the Woodchucks defense.  2B Zach McCool and C Jeremy Lucas pounded out doubles for two of the six recorded hits for the Bucks.  Other Bucks with singles were CF Willie Argo, 1B Ryan Rieger, LF Pat Stover and 3B Brandon Williams.  <\/p>\n

Wisconsin’s starting pitcher, Brock Stassi was credited with the win, Wagoner took the loss.<\/p>\n

Bucks are home again Sunday, July 25 against the Wisconsin Woodchucks.  Gates will open at 2 P.M. for Casey’s General Store Sunday Funday.  First pitch is scheduled for 3:05 P.M.
