This week we are catching up with former Waterloo Bucks pitcher Ryan O’Shea.  The Baltimore Orioles drafted the <\/span>New Orleans, LA <\/span><\/span>native 806th overall in the 27th round of the 2008 MLB Amateur Draft.  <\/span>
\n
\nO’Shea started the 2008 season playing for the Aberdeen IronBirds of the Short Season A League.  In that time he appeared in 16 games out of the bullpen pitching in a total of 33 innings.  During that time he had a record of 2-1 with 3 saves while maintaining a ERA of 3.00 and striking out 31. <\/p>\n

During the 2009 season O’Shea spent his time with the A level Delmarva squad.  While in Delmarva he appeared in 25 games all of which were starts.  In those starts he pitched a total 137.2 innings which included 1 complete game. In his starts he had a 8-8 record with a 3.60 ERA, in this time he struck out 100 batters while walking 47.<\/p>\n

<\/span>This past season O’Shea spent his time with the Advanced A League Frederick Keys, again in the 2010 season O’Shea was a part of the starting rotation.  While a part of the rotation Ryan started 28 games and pitching a total of 140.2 innings while maintaining an impressive 3.84 ERA.  He collected a record of 7-8 while striking out 105 batters and walking 60.<\/p>\n

O’Shea played for Waterloo in 2006 where he appeared in 13 games, during his time with the Bucks O’Shea threw 48 innings, struck out 22, and finished with a 4-1 record and a 2.81 ERA.<\/p>\n
