Box Score<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

The Bucks took care of business Monday night with a season high 1,974 people in attendance, beating the St. Cloud Rox 6-2 in the first game of a two game series. Chris Dunn took the hill in his first start for the Bucks this season and shut down the Rox offense, giving up only one run in 6.1 innings of work. The Bucks offense scored their six runs on twelve hits, putting up two runs in the 2nd<\/sup>, 6th<\/sup>, and 8th<\/sup> innings.<\/p>\n

In the 2nd<\/sup> inning with runners on second and third, Thomas Lindauer hit a sacrifice fly to score the runner from third, but the throw went over the catcher’s head and allowed the second runner to score, giving the Bucks a 2-0 lead.<\/p>\n

In the 6th<\/sup> inning, Ben Roberts reached first on a walk and followed that up with a stolen base to get to second. A single by Austin Barrett put runners on the corners and Sean Borman singled to score Roberts from third. Barrett was then able to advance to third on a passed ball and score on a fielder’s choice hit by Nico Zych, giving the Bucks a 4-0 lead.<\/p>\n

After the Rox came back with two runs in the top of the 7th<\/sup>, the Bucks responded in the bottom of the 8th<\/sup> with two of their own. Roberts and Barrett started things off again with back-to-back singles to put runners on first and second. Borman was then hit by a pitch to load the bases and Lindauer hit an RBI double to score Roberts and Barrett. Kyle Kramp came in the 9th<\/sup> to finish off the Rox and give the Bucks a 6-2 win, keeping the Bucks perfect season alive.<\/p>\n

The pitching was excellent for the Bucks tonight. Chris Dunn started the game with 6.1 innings of work, giving up just one run in the 7th<\/sup> inning. Ryan Doty came in next and was able to get out of a bases loaded jam. After getting one batter to pop-up in foul territory, the next batter singled, scoring one run but Riley Good gunned down the second runner with a throw from left field to home end the inning. A perfect 8th<\/sup> inning from Doty set things up for Kyle Kramp in the 9th<\/sup>. Kramp gave up two hits initially but got the next batter to ground into a double play and struck out the next batter to end the game.<\/p>\n
