Waterloo, Iowa \u2013 The Waterloo Bucks have teamed up with Peoples Community Health Clinic to host a baseball camp on Sunday, July 23 at 2:30 pm.\u00a0 The camp is open to children ages 17 and under and the cost to attend is $24 per participant.\u00a0 Each camper will receive a reserved seat ticket to the July 24 Bucks game versus the Rochester Honkers.<\/p>\n

Bucks players will run the camp.\u00a0 Individuals interested in attending the clinic may sign-up in advance through Play\u2019N Sports<\/a> or on the day of the camp.\u00a0 All participants will need to bring a baseball glove and must fill out a Player Information Sheet\/Waiver which will be available online at www.waterloobucks.com<\/a>, at the Riverfront Stadium Souvenir Stand, or at registration on the day of the camp.<\/p>\n

Registration will start at 2:00 pm on July 23.\u00a0 For more information, contact the Bucks office at (319) 232-0500.<\/p>\n

Peoples Community Health Clinic, the presenting sponsors of the baseball camps, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Federally Qualified Health Center guided by its Mission statement. Care is provided no matter what a person\u2019s financial situation is. Both uninsured and insured patients are welcome.<\/p>\n

The Bucks are off today then hit the road for a one-game trip to play the Rochester Honkers tomorrow.\u00a0 The two teams then return to Waterloo to face off on Friday with first pitch at 6:35 pm.\u00a0 Tickets are currently available by calling the Bucks Ticket Line at (319) 232-5633 or online:\u00a0 https:\/\/waterloo-bucks.nwltickets.com\/SingleGame\/Tickets<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires, and front office staff, over 325 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including three-time All-Star and 2016 Roberto Clemente Award winner Curtis Granderson, three-time Cy Young Award winner and World Series Champion Max Scherzer (NYM), two-time World Series Champions Ben Zobrist and Brandon Crawford (SFG) and World Series Champion Chris Sale (BOS). As well as 2019 Rookie of the Year and 2019\/2021 Home Run Derby Champion Pete Alonso (NYM) and 2021 All-Star, MLB Gold Glove winner and 2019 Second Team All-MLB shortstop Marcus Semien (TEX).
