\nThe Bucks dropped their second in a row on Sunday, getting swept by the Beetles and losing this last game 9-6. The Bucks did record 11 hits but struggled to drive them in, leaving 12 runners stranded on base. The Bucks fall to 10-12 on the second half as well as 29-28 overall. The Beetles move to 25-32 overall but a very solid 12-10 in the second half.  <\/p>\n

After an RBI single by the Beetles Ben Moore in the 1st<\/sup> inning put the Bucks in a 1-0 hole, the Bucks came back in the 2nd<\/sup>. Jordan Adams and Davis Hendrickson led the inning off with singles and Connor McClain drew a walk to load the bases. Nico Zych was able to score Adams off a fielder’s choice and Connor McCallum’s single to left field gave the Bucks a 2-1 lead.<\/p>\n

Zych would contribute to the scoring once again in the 4th<\/sup> inning. He led off with a single and was able to steal second and get to third on a grounder by Connor McCallum. Benny Roberts then hit a single to left to score Zych.<\/p>\n

With a 3-1 lead going into the 5th<\/sup>, the home team came storming back with five runs in the 5th<\/sup> and three more in the 6th<\/sup>. Ben Moore continued his solid day with a RBI double and then later scored off a two RBI single by Robert Case. Jimmy Pickens drove in two runs for the Beetles in the 6th<\/sup> but both were unearned due to an error earlier in the inning.<\/p>\n

The blue and yellow were down 9-3 after six but fought back with three runs in the 8th<\/sup>. Austin Barrett was able to reach first on an error by the third baseman and Benny Roberts drove himself and Barrett in with his eighth home run of the season. Dan Sheppard made it back-to-back homers as he hit his first home run with the Bucks this season.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, this would be all the Bucks could muster. The Bucks were unable to reach base in the 9th<\/sup> as all-star Anthony Bazzani of the home team threw a perfect inning. It was his twelfth save of the season and third against the Bucks.<\/p>\n

Connor Cline was the starter for the Bucks and went 4.1 innings, giving up six runs with three strikeouts and no walks. Conan Leon made his first appearance of the season for the Bucks and went 1.2 innings, giving up three runs on two hits. Mikey Ramirez finished off the game with two innings of shutout baseball, striking out one.<\/p>\n

Adams led the Bucks on offense with three hits and also a run scored. Roberts had a team high two RBI and a run scored.<\/p>\n

Up next, the Bucks travel to Duluth for a huge three game series. The Huskies are currently tied for the division lead and the Bucks, just two and a half games back, have an excellent opportunity to make up some ground. First pitch for the game is set for 7:05 pm.
