St. Petersburg, FL – Two former Waterloo Bucks were named as organizational All-Stars by MiLB.com. Willie Argo and Ryan Goins were both honored by the official website of Minor League Baseball for their efforts in the minors in 2012.<\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
Willie Argo was named an organizational All-Star as an outfielder for the Tampa Bay Rays. The University of Illinois product played in 69 games in the Tampa Bay system last year after being drafted in the 22nd<\/sup> round of the MLB Draft. Starting in Rookie ball for the Princeton Rays in the Appalachian League, Argo led his team in hitting with a .301 average and on-base percentage at .404. The Davenport, Iowa native was then called up late in the season to Low-A ball to play for the Bowling Green Hot Rods of the Midwest League. In all, Argo’s .289 average ranked him fifth among Rays Minor Leaguers. While with the Bucks over the 2009-2010 seasons, Argo hit for a .219 average in 99 games, stealing 41 bases, good for seventh on the Bucks all-time list.<\/div>\n

Ryan Goins\\\"\\\" was named an organizational All-Star as a shortstop for the Toronto Blue Jays. The Dallas Baptist University product hit .289 with 15 stolen bases, playing all season for Toronto’s Double-A affiliate, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats of the Eastern League. Goins finished with a .403 slugging percentage and committed only 16 errors in 136 games. On November 20, Goins was named to the Blue Jays’ 40-Man Roster. A native of Round Rock, Texas, Goins was drafted in the fourth round of the 2009 MLB Draft by Toronto. Goins led Waterloo with a .318 batting average and a team high 12 doubles in 2008.<\/div>\n
