{"id":18269,"date":"2025-06-03T19:21:49","date_gmt":"2025-06-04T00:21:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/waterloo-bucks\/?p=18269"},"modified":"2025-06-03T20:00:34","modified_gmt":"2025-06-04T01:00:34","slug":"bucks-homestand-finale-against-honkers-postponed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/waterloo-bucks\/2025\/06\/03\/bucks-homestand-finale-against-honkers-postponed\/","title":{"rendered":"Tuesday\u2019s Bucks vs. Honkers Game Postponed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Waterloo, IA \u2013 The Tuesday, June 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Waterloo Bucks game vs. the Rochester Honkers has been postponed due to rain and unplayable field conditions.\u00a0 The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Monday, June 9<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Gates at Riverfront Stadium will open at 5:00 pm with the first pitch of Game One scheduled for 5:35 pm.\u00a0 Each game of the doubleheader will be a seven-inning contest.\u00a0 There will be a 30-minute break between games.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets for Tuesday\u2019s game (used or unused) may be exchanged at the Riverfront Stadium Ticket Window for any other 2025 Bucks\u2019 regular season game for the same or lesser value.<\/p>\n<p>The Bucks travel to Rochester to face the Honkers on Wednesday, June 4<sup>th<\/sup> before returning for a two-game homestand versus the Thunder Bay Border Cats on Thursday.\u00a0 Tickets are available by calling the Bucks Ticket Line at (319) 232-5633 or online at <a href=\"https:\/\/waterloo-bucks.nwltickets.com\/SingleGame\/Tickets\">waterloobucks.com<\/a>.\u00a0 Bucks team ownership has invested nearly $500,000 in stadium improvements over the last decade including an LED video board, group outing areas, painted bleachers, public Wi-Fi, sound system, kids zone inflatables, wiffle ball field, and concessions equipment.\u00a0 Fans are encouraged to stay in touch with the Bucks by utilizing their website at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.waterloobucks.com\/\">www.waterloobucks.com<\/a> or utilizing the Northwoods League Mobile App.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"># # #<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>The Waterloo Bucks are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. The Northwoods League is the proven leader in the development of elite college baseball players. Entering its\u2019 32<sup>nd<\/sup> season, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in history with 24 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires, and front office staff, nearly 2400 NWL alums have been drafted and over 380 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including three-time All-Star and 2016 Roberto Clemente Award winner Curtis Granderson, three-time Cy Young Award winner and World Series Champion Max Scherzer (TOR), two-time World Series Champions Ben Zobrist and Brandon Crawford and World Series Champion Chris Sale (ATL).
