Waterloo, Iowa \u2013 The Waterloo Bucks have teamed up with Peoples Community Health Clinic this summer to host two youth baseball camps:\u00a0 Saturday, June 13 and Saturday, August 1.\u00a0 Both camps will start at noon and are open to children ages 17 and under with the cost to attend being $25 per participant.\u00a0 Each camper \"\"<\/a>will receive a reserved seat ticket to that evening\u2019s Bucks home game.<\/p>\n

Bucks players will run the camps.\u00a0 Individuals interested in attending the clinics may sign-up in advance through Play\u2019N Sports<\/a> or on the day of the camp.\u00a0 All participants will need to bring a baseball glove and must fill out a Player Information Sheet\/Waiver which will be available online at www.waterloobucks.com<\/a>, at the Riverfront Stadium Guest Services Table, or at registration on the day of the camp.<\/p>\n

Registration will start at 11:30 am for each camp.\u00a0 For more information, contact the Bucks office at (319) 232-0500.<\/p>\n

The Waterloo Bucks are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. The Northwoods League is the proven leader in the development of elite college baseball players. Now in its\u2019 32nd<\/sup> season, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in history with 24 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires, and front office staff, nearly 2400 NWL alums have been drafted and over 400 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including three-time All-Star and 2016 Roberto Clemente Award winner Curtis Granderson, three-time Cy Young Award winner and World Series Champion Max Scherzer (TOR), two-time World Series Champions Ben Zobrist and Brandon Crawford and World Series Champion Chris Sale (ATL). As well as 2019 Rookie of the Year and 2019\/2021 Home Run Derby Champion Pete Alonso (NYM) and 2023 World Series Champion, MLB All-Star, MLB Gold Glove, two-time Silver Slugger winner and two-time All-MLB first team shortstop Marcus Semien (TEX).
