Mycah Jordan led off with a single, then came in to score after Caleb Parker doubled and there was a fielding error to put the Bucks ahead 1-0. Next up, Mitchell Iliff laced a single to left to plate Parker to make it 2-0. Two walks loaded the bases for Dane Most, who singled to move everyone up 90 feet to make it 3-0. A fielder\u2019s choice brought in another run to grow the lead to 4-0, then a hit by pitch loaded the bases a second time. One batter later, Collin Brightwell pulled a single to right that brought in a pair of runs to make it 6-0.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In the top of the second, Waterloo tallied another run. Nico Newhan doubled with one out, then after a single, Most lifted a sac fly to the second baseman, and Newhan scampered home to score.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After the Border Cats put three runs on the board, the Bucks responded in a big way in the top of the fifth inning. A walk and a single put two on for Jordan who ripped a double down the third base line to bring home both runners to make it 9-3.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In the top of the sixth, Waterloo put the game out of reach with seven runs to make the lead 16-3, the score that would be the final.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">With the win, the Bucks go to 10-12 on the season and 2-2 in 2026 against the Border Cats. Game two of the doubleheader is slated for 6:35 pm EST.
