\n\tSt. Cloud Rox center fielder Eric Loxtercamp had four base hits in Monday night's series opener against the Waterloo Bucks. The Bucks, as a team, only had four hits all night. Need anything else be said? \n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe first place Saint Cloud Rox (5-2) continued their hot start to the season, blasting Waterloo 8-0 on Buck Night at Riverfront Stadium. The Rox outclassed the Bucks in every facet of Monday's action; phenomenal pitching, hot bats and solid defensive play. \n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe lineup may have given him terrific run support, but Rox starter Austin Casperen didn't need it. Making his second start of the season, Caspersen pitched a gem for the Rox, going seven strong innings and allowing just three hits. He held the Bucks scoreless, and fanned three Bucks batters. \n<\/p>\n
\n\tNick Veale struggled in his second outing of the season for the Bucks, giving up four runs over five innings. Connor Dillman came in to relieve Veale and had a rough Bucks debut, giving up four runs (two earned) over two innings. \n<\/p>\n
\n\tScoring chances were few and far between for the Bucks, though they had an opportunity to make some noise in the seventh inning. A one out Kevin Kaczmarski double, followed by Logan Sherer being hit by a pitch and an infield single by David Kerrian loaded the bases. Ryan Nagle and Steven Pollakov each struck out swinging, though, and the rally was over. \n<\/p>\n
\n\tSt. Cloud, on the other hand, scored early and often, plating runs in the second, third, fifth, six and seventh inning. \n<\/p>\n
\n\tCredit the 1,609 Bucks fans for staying in the stands and rooting passionately for their Bucks late into this game. The team didn't give them much to cheer about Monday night, but they made due.\n<\/p>\n
