\n\tSix Bombers' errors in the first two innings ultimately doomed them, as they allowed the Bucks to build a comfortable seven run lead in the early stages of the game. Maybe the most memorable of the Bombers' gaffs involved the third baseman accidentally chucking a ground ball into the dirt, intending to throw it to first. \n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe Bucks did not have their full artillery on the field, as departures and injuries have the Bucks limping into the end of the season. David Kerrian leaving with an apparent leg injury forced manager Travis Kieweit to do some shuffling and find a quick replacement on his already depleted roster. The answer? Pitcher Cody Sedlock.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tSedlock did more than anyone could have anticipated, manning first base and driving in three runs on two hits. He blasted a ball off the wall in the fifth inning. \n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe winning pitcher for Waterloo was Derek Burkamper, who earned his first victory of the season for the Bucks. Alec Knop and Kyle Bledsoe made their Riverfront Stadium debuts, as well, and kept the Bombers off the scoreboard. \n<\/p>\n
\n\tEdgar Sanchez took the loss for Battle Creek, though most of the runs he allowed were unearned. \n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe Bucks and Bombers go at it again Sunday at 3:35 p.m. Eric Veglahn takes the hill for the Bucks as they attempt to draw nearer to the playoffs. The Bucks have just three home games left on the season, and each one will be crucial. \n<\/p>\n
