\n\tWaterloo, IA – The Waterloo Bucks are seeking nominations for their first annual Military Heroes Baseball card set. The card set will represent each branch of the military and honor those who are currently serving our country, veterans who have served in the past but are no longer active, and those who bravely fought for our country, but have since passed away.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe card set will be given away to the first 1,000 fans that enter Riverfront Stadium on Saturday, July 4th<\/sup>, 2015. Those military heroes selected to appear in the card set and their families will be honored on the field following the July 4th<\/sup> game, and will receive four tickets to that game.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Bucks will begin taking nominations for the Military Heroes Card Set\"01-26-Military-Heroes-mw\"<\/a> on Monday, January 26th. The first 36 submissions will make it into the 2015 card set, so the team urges individuals to turn in their nominations right away. Nominations will be taken until March 30th<\/sup>, OR, until 36 submissions are received.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tNomination forms can be accessed by visiting the Bucks offices during normal business hours, or online at www.waterloobucks.com<\/a>.  Nominations can be submitted online or mailed directly to the Bucks offices. Please include a photo of the Military Hero along with your completed nomination form.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Waterloo Bucks are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Playing its 22nd<\/sup> <\/sup>season of summer collegiate baseball in 2015, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 120 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (WAS) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (WAS), Curtis Granderson (NYM), Allen Craig (BOS) and Ben Zobrist (OAK).
