\n\tWaterloo, IA – Two former Waterloo Bucks have been named Organizational All-Stars by MiLB.com.  Kevin Kaczmarski was honored as a top New York Mets’ Minor League outfielder, while Chesny Young, a utility player in the Chicago Cubs organization, was also bestowed the honor.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tKevin Kaczmarski, \"OLYMPUS<\/a>who played for Waterloo in 2012 and 2014, suited up for the Kingsport Mets in the Rookie-level Appalachian League this past season.  The outfielder led both the entire Mets organization and the Appalachian League with a .355 average.  Kaczmarski stole 20 bases and tied for third in the league with 47 runs.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tA product of the University of Evansville, Kaczmarski was a 9th<\/sup> round selection by New York in the 2015 MLB Draft.  Kaczmarski garnered Roth Jewelers Player of the Year Awards in his both seasons with the Bucks.  In two years with the Waterloo, Kaczmarski hit .339 in 102 games, compiling 16 home runs, which ranks as the second most on the Bucks’ career list, 95 RBI, and 22 stolen bases. \n<\/p>\n

\n\tChesny Young, \"SAMSUNG<\/a>who played for Waterloo in 2013, starred for the South Bend Cubs of the Midwest League and the Carolina League’s Myrtle Beach Pelicans in 2015.  Young played five positions during the season, finishing the year with a Carolina League leading .321 average to go along with 18 doubles.  During all of 2015, Young stole 21 bases and finished with a .392 on-base percentage.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tYoung was selected in the 14th<\/sup> round by Chicago in the 2014 MLB Draft.  A product of Mercer University, Young hit .325 in 58 games in his one season with the Bucks.  A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Young ended the ’13 season leading the Northwoods League in three categories:  runs (62), walks (60), and on-base percentage (.470). Young tied for fourth in the NWL in triples with three and was named to both the mid-season and post-season NWL All-Star Teams.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThis offseason, MiLB.com is honoring the players — regardless of age or prospect status — who had the best seasons in their organizations. MiLB.com looks at each farm system to determine the outstanding Minor League seasons.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Waterloo Bucks are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Playing its 23rd <\/sup>season of summer collegiate baseball in 2016, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
