{"id":6453,"date":"2017-05-08T18:02:20","date_gmt":"2017-05-08T18:02:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/waterloo-bucks\/?p=6453"},"modified":"2017-05-08T18:02:20","modified_gmt":"2017-05-08T18:02:20","slug":"njcaa-region-xi-tourney-returns-riverfront","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/waterloo-bucks\/2017\/05\/08\/njcaa-region-xi-tourney-returns-riverfront\/","title":{"rendered":"NJCAA Region XI Tourney Returns to Riverfront"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n\tWaterloo, Iowa &#8211; The Waterloo Bucks have announced that Riverfront Stadium will play host to the 2017 NJCAA Region XI Division II Baseball Tournament May 11<sup>th<\/sup> through the 15<sup>th<\/sup>.&nbsp; Seven teams from the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference will play in the five-day, 12-game event.\n<\/div>\n<div>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/div>\n<div>\n\tThe opening game of the tournament is set to begin at 12:00 pm on Thursday, May 11, followed by two more games that day, starting at 3:30 pm and 7:00 pm.&nbsp; Game times will remain the same on Friday, May 12 and Saturday, May 13, while two games are set to be played on Sunday, May 14.&nbsp; The tournament championship will be played at 3:30 pm on Sunday, or at 11:00 am on Monday, May 15, if a double-elimination game is required.\n<\/div>\n<div>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/div>\n<div>\n\tFans can go to the ICCAC website at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iccac.org\/\">http:\/\/www.iccac.org<\/a> to&nbsp;visit the official tournament page at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iccac.org\/article\/2959.php\">http:\/\/www.iccac.org\/article\/2959.php<\/a> which&nbsp;has the tournament bracket as well as live coverage of all of the games.&nbsp;\n<\/div>\n<div>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/div>\n<div>\n\tThe Bucks open the 2017 season at home on May 30 versus the St. Cloud Rox and play at Riverfront Stadium where the team welcomed a new state of the art video board in 2016 thanks to a matching grant from the Black Hawk County Gaming Association.&nbsp; Team ownership has invested more than $170,000 in improvements since the end of the 2014 season including painted bleachers, public Wi-Fi, sound system, group outing areas, and concessions equipment.&nbsp; Bucks 2017 Single Game Tickets, Season Tickets, and Group Outings are now on sale.&nbsp; Fans are encouraged to call the Bucks&rsquo; Ticket Line at (319) 232-5633 to order.&nbsp; Fans can stay in touch with the Bucks during the off-season by utilizing their website at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.waterloobucks.com\/\">www.waterloobucks.com<\/a>.\n<\/div>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\n\t# # #\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<em>The Waterloo Bucks are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. The 23-year-old summer collegiate league is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 20 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
