\n\tWATERLOO, IOWA- The Waterloo Bucks (2-2) unload 11 runs on 11 hits to dominate the Duluth Huskies (3-1) 11-1 on Friday night (June 2).\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe bases were loaded in the bottom of the first for Deion Thompson who picked up an RBI fielder's choice on a grounder to third. The next batter Josh Elvir sent a base hit to left field that got by the Duluth left fielder Augie Isaacson rolling all the way to the warning track bringing in all three runners. Waterloo jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the first inning.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThree more runs were tacked on in the bottom of the second inning, thanks to an RBI single by the red-hot Colin Kreiter. Two batters later in the pouring rain Zach Malis blasted his second homer of the season and on consecutive nights to right field making it 7-0 Bucks after two innings.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe game went into a 15 minute rain delay in the top of the third due to a steady rain shower.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe delay didn't seem to bother the Waterloo starting pitcher Nathan Walker (1-0) who pitched five innings of shutout baseball, striking out five batters and only surrendering one hit.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tIn the bottom of the fifth, the Bucks continued to rock the Huskies starter Ryan Losman (0-1) as Deion Thompson picked up his first hit of the year on an RBI single up the middle.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tMalis was just a triple away from the cycle and walked in a run with the bases loaded off of reliever Andrew O'Dwyer in the bottom of the sixth. The final two Buck runs were added in the bottom of the seventh on a flare to center for Drew Greenwood's first RBI of the season and a wild pitch.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tDuluth got on the board in the top of the seventh but it didn't matter much as the Bucks cruised to an 11-1 win as to fight back to the .500 mark.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe Bucks head out on their road trip of the season tomorrow as they visit the La Crosse Loggers (1-3) at Copeland Park for a 6:05 p.m. first pitch.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
