\n\tLA CROSSE, WI- The Waterloo Bucks (4-2) used a five-run top of the fifth inning to defeat the La Crosse Loggers 11-2 on Sunday night (June 4). The Bucks have won three games in a row.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tJust like Saturday night, the Loggers drew first blood in the bottom of the third, this time on a solo shot by Yahir Gurrola for the first Logger home run of 2017.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tJay Schuyler again answered to tie things when he picked up an RBI groundout in the top of the fourth.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe see-saw battle continued when Taylor Sansagorski ripped a two-run double to put La Crosse in front 2-1. The next inning in the top of the fifth with two outs is when the game broke open for the Bucks. Waterloo put together five straight two out hits. Four of them RBI singles to right field by Howell, Greenwood, Schuyler and Malis. Those knocked the Logger starting pitcher Miles Sandum (0-1) out of the game.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tWith two runners on off of reliever Charlie Fletcher, Tyler Bordner launched his first home run of the year to left field for a three-run shot officially allowing the Bucks to pull away 8-2.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tWaterloo starter Jared Crescentini lasted four and two-thirds on the mound striking out seven batters but was taken out due to a high pitch out. Brady Corson tossed a near perfect two and a third innings out of the bullpen.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tIn the bottom of the sixth inning, Drew Greenwood widened the Buck lead with a two-run double to the right center field gap.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tWaterloo never took their foot off the gas in an 11-2 drubbing of La Crosse for a series sweep.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe Bucks return to Riverfront Stadium for a four-game home stand starting against Eau Claire tomorrow, June 5 at 6:35 p.m. on Buck Night.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
