\n\tWATERLOO, IOWA- In a game that was called in the bottom of the sixth inning, the Waterloo Bucks (14-4) trounced the Thunder Bay Border Cats (6-12) 11-1 on Friday (June 16).\n<\/p>\n
\n\tZach Malis set the tone with a two-run homer off of Thunder Bay's starting pitcher Patrick Ryan (0-2) to right center field in the top of the first inning.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tDrew Greenwood also clubbed a homer, a solo shot in the top of the third to make it 3-0 Bucks. Malis was up again and a slammed an RBI single and the scoring wasn't done there. John Cable split the outfielders in right center for a two-run hustle double pushing the Bucks lead to 6-0 after three innings.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe Bucks officially ran with the game in the top of the fourth as a run was walked in followed by a Keaton Presley RBI single to right. Josh Elvir did the same thing in the next at-bat but it was worth two runs. For good measure, Dalton Hurd picked up his first RBI of the season on a single to left to move the Bucks advantage to 11-0.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tIn the bottom of the 6th inning after an RBI double by Noah Strohl to get the Border Cats on the board, the game went into a rain delay due to severe weather in the Cedar Valley.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tJared Crescentini (1-1) left the game right before the rain delay, he threw five innings, let up five hits, one earned run and struck out seven batters.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe Bucks hit the road to take on the Rochester Honkers at Mayo Field for a 7:05 p.m. first pitch tomorrow, June 17.\n<\/p>\n
