\n\tWaterloo, IA – Former Waterloo Bucks infielder Cameron Perkins was called up to the big leagues Tuesday by the Philadelphia Phillies.  Perkins \"\"<\/a>becomes the 13th former Buck to make it to the show, joining Toronto Blue Jays second baseman Ryan Goins and Chicago White Sox pitcher Dan Jennings as former Bucks who are active Major Leaguers.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tPerkins, who played with Waterloo in 2011, was hitting .298 as an outfielder in in the Triple-A International League this season for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, with 6 home runs and 21 RBI in 63 games.  Last season for Lehigh Valley, Perkins was named a mid-season All-Star.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile with the Bucks, Perkins hit .344 with 10 home runs, 46 RBI, and 14 stolen bases.  Perkins currently ranks tied for fourth in the team’s single-season record books in hits with 85, tied for seventh in doubles with 19, sits eighth in at bats with 247, and ninth in slugging percentage at .551.  His .344 batting average ranks seventh in the career list for the Bucks.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tPerkins is the first former Buck to be called up to the Majors since James Jones was given the nod by the Seattle Mariners in 2014.   Below is a list of former Bucks who have made it to the Majors.\n<\/p>\n
