\n\tST. CLOUD, Minn.- The Waterloo Bucks (35-31) could not to get back into the win column on Sunday, August 6 as the St. Cloud Rox (40-26) scored early and often to defeat Waterloo 9-2. With the win, the Rox and Bucks split the 2017 season series 4-4.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tSt. Cloud jumped on Waterloo starting pitcher Zachary Patterson (3-6) early on a two-run double to center by Matt Tarantino. Cameron Eden stayed hot at the plate with an RBI single in the bottom of the second to put the Rox ahead 3-0.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe game was blown open in the bottom of the third inning starting with a wild pitch followed by a two-run single to left field by Spencer Holcomb. Eden was at it again with a three run homer to left as the Rox started to run away with the game 9-0 after three innings.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tAaron Rozek (6-1) struck out six batters in six innings, just one shy of tying the St. Cloud Rox franchise record for single season strikeouts.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tJay Schuyler got the Bucks on the board with a solo shot over the left field wall in the top of the fifth and another run was pushed across in the top of the seventh inning on a fielder's choice after Drew Greenwood sent a ground ball up the middle.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe Bucks did not go down without a fight but still fell into too big of a hole to crawl out of in a 9-2 defeat, Waterloo's fourth straight loss and the fifth straight win for the Rox.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tWaterloo returns to Riverfront Stadium tomorrow, August 7 at 6:35 p.m. against the Willmar Stingers on the last Buck Night of the 2017 season.\n<\/p>\n
