Waterloo, Iowa – The Waterloo Bucks are inviting fans to The Other Place on Ridgeway Avenue on Monday, June 18 for Tip-A-Buck. \u00a0Starting at 6:00 pm, Bucks players and coaches will act as waiters, serving customers drinks and dinner throughout the evening.<\/p>\n

Each table will have a “tip” envelope, where all tips for the Bucks wait staff will go to the Bucks Summer Reading Program.\u00a0 Fans will also have chances to win autographed baseballs, an autographed bat, and other Bucks items through a raffle.<\/p>\n

With the support of Upper Iowa University Waterloo Center and The Pump Haus Pub & Grill, the Waterloo Bucks Summer Reading Program encourages reading throughout the summer in the Cedar Valley.\u00a0 Throughout April and May, the Bucks\u2019 mascot Bucky visited elementary schools throughout the Cedar Valley as part of the reading program.\u00a0 The students are rewarded with prizes for reaching reading levels ranging from 250 minutes to 1,000 minutes.<\/p>\n

Elementary aged kids throughout the Cedar Valley are invited to take part in the Waterloo Bucks Summer Reading Program. \u00a0Reading scorecards can be downloaded by clicking this link:\u00a0https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/waterloo-bucks\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2015\/04\/2018-Scorecard.pdf<\/a>.\u00a0 Prizes can be claimed in the Waterloo Bucks Souvenir Store at Cost Cutters Field at Riverfront Stadium by showing your reading scorecard at any level to redeem your prize.<\/p>\n

The Other Place – Ridgeway is located at 360 E. Ridgeway Avenue in Waterloo. \u00a0Bucks players, coaches and front office staff will be available for autographs and photographs.\u00a0 The public is welcome to attend the event.<\/p>\n

The Bucks finish a two-game homestand tonight versus the Eau Claire Express at 6:35 pm.\u00a0 The team hits the road for a two-game swing before returning to Waterloo on Thursday to begin a four-game homestand at Cost Cutters Field at Riverfront Stadium where the team welcomed a new state of the art video board in 2016 thanks to a matching grant from the Black Hawk County Gaming Association. \u00a0Team ownership has invested more than $170,000 in improvements since the end of the 2014 season including painted bleachers, public Wi-Fi, sound system, group outing areas, kids zone inflatables, and concessions equipment.\u00a0 Fans are encouraged to stay in touch with the Bucks by utilizing their website at www.waterloobucks.com<\/a> or utilizing the Northwoods League Mobile App.\u00a0 Tickets are now on sale by calling the Bucks\u2019 Ticket Line at 319-232-5633.<\/p>\n
