WILLMAR, MN – The Willmar Stingers of the Northwoods League have signed four players: Jeff Barto, Bryan Willson, Cedric Pomerlee, and Zach Rowles to its inaugural season roster.<\/p>\n

Jeff Barto is a southpaw pitcher from Western Nevada College.  This season, Barto is 2-0 in 14 appearances (2 starts) with a 3.41 ERA.  The 6’0” tall, 182 pound sophomore is originally from Boise, Idaho.  <\/p>\n

Bryan Willson is a sophomore third baseman and pitcher.  Bryan was named the Western State Conference Player of the Year in 2010 with Oxnard Community College this season.  Willson is batting .331, has 35 RBI, and 5 home runs this season.<\/p>\n

Cedric Pomerlee is a 6’4”, left-handed, junior pitcher from Alcorn State.  Pomerlee has made 14 appearances this season, with 12 starts, posting a 5.43 ERA.  In 2007, Pomerlee was a 37th round draft pick by the Pittsburgh Pirates.<\/p>\n

Zach Rowles is a junior infielder from Minnesota State.  In 57 games this season for the Mavericks, Rowles is batting .397 with 25 doubles.  Zach was a successful base stealer as well, swiping 28 bags in 31 attempts. <\/p>\n

The Home Opener presented by Christianson & Associates will feature Hall of Famer Paul Molitor as the Stingers take on the St. Cloud River Bats on Thursday, June 3 at 7:05 p.m. at Bill Taunton Stadium. Single game tickets for this event and all 34-home games are currently on-sale at the ticket office location at the ballpark from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday or by calling 320-222-2010.
