Willmar, MN -Willmar Stingers single-game tickets for the 2023 season will go on-sale Monday, May 1st\u00a0at 10:00 am. Fans will be able to to purchase tickets at willmarstingers.com, stopping by the Stingers ticket office located at Bill Taunton Stadium, or by calling 320-222-2010.<\/p>\n

“The Stingers can’t wait\u00a0for the Beehive to be buzzing and\u00a0for our supportive\u00a0fans to enjoy fun giveaways and theme nights this summer”, said Vice President of Operations Jordan Yessak.<\/p>\n

The 2023 season includes six\u00a0post-game firework shows that will be featured on Saturday nights, the 2023 home opener, and Fan Appreciation Night. Four home games in July will be against the Northwoods League inaugural\u00a0team, the Minot Hot Tots.<\/p>\n

The Stingers will open their season on May 31st\u00a0at Bill Taunton Stadium for their 2023 home opener against the Eau Claire Express presented by J.D. Kreps Financial Group.<\/p>\n

The Northwoods League is the proven leader in the development of elite college baseball players. Now in its\u2019 30th<\/sup>\u00a0season, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 22 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires, and front office staff, 300 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including three-time All-Star and 2016 Roberto Clemente Award winner Curtis Granderson, three-time Cy Young Award winner and World Series Champion Max Scherzer (NYM), two-time World Series Champions Ben Zobrist and Brandon Crawford (SFG) and World Series Champion Chris Sale (BOS). As well as 2019 Rookie of the Year and 2019\/2021 Home Run Derby Champion Pete Alonso (NYM) and 2021 All-Star, MLB Gold Glove winner and 2019 Second Team All-MLB shortstop Marcus Semien (TEX).
