ST. CLOUD, MN.- Looking to follow up a close victory against Rochester yesterday, the Willmar Stingers did just that with a 2-0 victory over the St. Cloud Rox on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The Stingers scored the only runs of the ballgame in the first inning as Sean Rimmer drove in the first run with help from a St. Cloud error.<\/p>\n

In the following at-bat, Parker Stinson singled with the bases loaded to double the lead.<\/p>\n

After that, MinnWest Technology Campus Player of the Game Chris Rofe took over.<\/p>\n

The Stingers starter tossed six no-hit innings and a bunt-single in the seventh was the only hit he would give up on the day.<\/p>\n

Hemponix Relief Pitcher of the Game Rylen Bayne sealed the deal in the final two innings for a shutout victory.<\/p>\n

The Stingers and Rox will complete their two-game series on Friday.<\/p>\n
