\n\tWILLMAR, Minn.<\/strong> — The Stingers weathered an early storm en route to its second-straight come-from-behind victory and a series sweep of Rochester with a 4-3, 11-inning win at Bill Taunton Stadium on Thursday night.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Stingers (20-18, 2-0 second half) overcame two separate deficits and then a rain delay of almost two hours in the top of the fourth inning to win their fifth-straight game, tying their season-high winning streak.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tWillmar trailed by a run after the top of the second inning and again by a run after the top of the fifth inning, but answered both rallies. Rochester (7-30, 0-2) tied the game at three in the top of the eighth inning, but the Stingers scored on Kole Cottam RBI double in the 11th<\/span> to win the game.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Stingers bullpen came through with a gigantic performance to help keep the Stingers in the game. Corey Binger didn’t come back after the rain delay, and so Brad Schaenzer came out of the bullpen. Schaenzer allowed just two runs in 4 1\/3 innings pitched.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter Schaenzer, Jake Rothwell pitched three scoreless innings to pick up his first win of the year. Rothwell allowed just one hit and struck out three to keep the game going in extras.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tCottam pinch hit for the Stingers in the 11th with Quincy McAfee at second base after McAfee reached on an error to start the inning. Cottam then sent a 2-2 pitch all the way to the wall in center field to win the game.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Stingers now head on the road for five games, starting with a two-game road trip in La Crosse on Friday night.\n<\/p>\n
