\n\tWILLMAR, Minn. – The Stingers closed out the month of June with an 8-3 victory over the Logggers, marked by a seven-run seventh inning. \n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe scoring started for the Stingers in the sixth when Tyler Murray (Hawaii) sent a line drive down the left field line to bring in Luke Becker (Kentucky). It was Murray's first of two run-scoring doubles in the evening.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the seventh inning, Marcus Still (New Mexico State) led off with a walk and then stole his second base of the day. It brought his league-leading total to 23 on the season.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tMoments later, Josh Bissonette (Baylor) brought in the tying run with a fielder's choice to the shortstop. \n<\/p>\n

\n\tWillmar then sent nine batters to the plate with two outs, totaling seven runs. Nate Sterijevski (Bethune-Cookman) drove in the go-ahead runs with a single to right field before Murray drove in two more with his second double. \n<\/p>\n

\n\tIt was Murray's first multi-RBI game as a Stinger, as he collected three in the evening.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tHis performance followed his effort in which he caught 223 total pitches last night. After 152 tonight, he caught 375 total pitches in the two-game series against the Loggers.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the field, the Stingers turned three double plays, increasing their league-leading total to 38 in 32 games. One of them was on a sacrifice bunt in which Bissonette covered first then threw home to prevent a Logger run. The SAC 1-4-2 DP came in the top of the seventh inning, moments before the Stingers bats awoke to score seven in the bottom frame.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tTyler Oldenberg (Seattle) started on the mound for Willmar. He threw five scoreless innings, striking out four and allowing three hits in his first start of the year.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tKale Latorre (Montevallo) then came to pitch on his twenty-first birthday. He was followed by a trio of Luke Chevalier (Northern State), Calvin Coker (Auburn), and Alex Reyes (New Mexico State) that all pitched an inning each. The bullpen combined to allow two runs and four hits by the Loggers.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Stingers move to 16-16 on the year after splitting the series with La Crosse.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tTomorrow, they head back to the road for a four-game trip in both Rochester and Bismarck. Tomorrow's game in Rochester will be a 7:05 p.m tilt, and the probably started is TBD. \n<\/p>\n
