The pair make a donation to Rapids Family Backpack<\/strong><\/p>\n Wisconsin Rapids – The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters and McCain Foods have come together to donate $250 to Rapids Family Backpack. The Rafters set aside a portion of the proceeds from every order of McCain Food\u2019s Smiles sold during the 2018 season. This contribution will help provide nutritious weekend meals for the families in the Wisconsin Rapids Public School district who are facing hunger.<\/p>\n \u201cLast season we were able to work with one of our longest Founding Partners to help a great organization within the area,\u201d said Rafters GM Andy Francis. \u201cMcCain Foods has always had an active role in helping the community and we look forward to working with them in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n Rapids Family Backpack is a local non-profit organization that aims to help families within the Wisconsin Rapids Area who are facing hunger. This organization provides backpacks filled with nutritious food for students to take home every weekend, as well as educating local youth to eat healthily. Since 2012, the organization has partnered with several local businesses and organizations to help fight hunger.<\/p>\n McCain Foods has been a proud partner with the Rafters since the beginning and this donation is just a glimpse at the long list of contributions both organizations have been able to provide the Wisconsin Rapids Community. McCain Foods houses a plant in the Rapids area that provides food around the world.
