Wisconsin Rapids looks to take lead in season series with Madison<\/p>\n

After their game against the Green Bay Booyah was postponed Saturday, the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (10-8) open a two-game series against the division-leading Madison Mallards (14-5) Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n

The Rafters have won six of their last seven games and currently hold the second-lowest team ERA in the Northwoods League. Richie Schiekofer leads the league in batting average and Jake Dunham is tied for the most RBIs in the league.<\/p>\n

Nathan Hemmerling is projected to start for Wisconsin Rapids, with a 1.63 ERA. He has a 1-1 record through three starts and notched four strikeouts through 11 innings. Quinn Gudaitis will likely start for Madison. The righty has a 4.15 ERA and a 2-1 record, with his lone loss coming against the Rafters on June 10.<\/p>\n

Wisconsin Rapids returns to Witter Field Monday to take on the Mallards at 7:05 p.m. on Pie Night at the ballpark, featuring \u201cThe Great Witter Field Pie Baking Contest.\u201d<\/p>\n
