Rafters Host 2nd<\/sup> Annual Baseball Triathlon<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Hit, Pitch, Run competition to take place Saturday, August 7th<\/sup> <\/em><\/p>\n

Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. \u2013 The Rafters, in partnership with Ocean Spray and ReVision Eye Care, are holding the 2nd<\/sup> Annual Rafters Baseball Triathlon. The competition will take place on Saturday, August 7th<\/sup> at 10:00am at Historic Witter Field. This event is free and is available to all boys and girls, ages 6 to 15.<\/p>\n

The overall competition will vary across age groups. The age groups are based on the child\u2019s age as of December 31, 2021. All participants will be required to show proof of age day of event.<\/p>\n

The competition will be scored on three categories: hit, pitch, and run. Each participant will be allowed five hits, ten pitches, and one run around the bases. Scores will be specific to each competition.\u00a0 Once completed, the winner of each division will be awarded a trophy on field. One winner from each male and female age group will be selected.<\/p>\n

Participants must register online by Wednesday, August 4th<\/sup>. The registration form can be found HERE<\/a> or at the Rafters Ticket Office. In addition, all participants must fill out the waiver located below the registration form or at the Rafters Ticket Office to take part in the Baseball Triathlon.<\/p>\n

All rules and regulations for the Rafters Baseball Triathlon can be found at Raftersbaseball.com under the Special Events tab. For any questions, please call 715-424-5400 or stop by the Rafters Ticket Office at 521 Lincoln Street Monday-Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.<\/p>\n

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. The Northwoods League is the proven leader in the development of elite college baseball players. Having completed its\u2019 27th<\/sup>\u00a0season, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 22 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, over 250 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including three-time All-Star and 2016 Roberto Clemente Award winner Curtis Granderson, three-time Cy Young Award winner and World Series Champion Max Scherzer (WAS), two-time World Series Champions Ben Zobrist and Brandon Crawford (SFG) and World Series Champion Chris Sale (BOS). As well as 2019 Rookie of the Year and Home Run Derby Champion Pete Alonso (NYM) and MLB Gold Glove finalist and 2019 Second Team All-MLB shortstop Marcus Semien (TOR).
