WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. – The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters are pleased to welcome Stone Miyao<\/span>, Treyton Tarver, and Joe Ruth to the 2022 Rafters roster..<\/p>\n

Miyao is a sophomore at the University of Hawaii. So far in his sophomore campaign, he is hitting a .262 batting average, with two homers and 27 RBI. Miyao was named the Big West Player<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0of the Week during the week of 4\/19-4\/25 when he hit .500 against UC Davis. He hit his first career homer in the series and totaled nine hits and seven RBI. Miyao is from Hilo, Hawaii. He was an all-state selection in baseball his senior season at Waiakea High School. He chose the University of Hawaii for baseball because it was close to home.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cBeing in college\u00a0<\/span>has taught me to work hard and trust my preparation,\u201d said Miyao. \u201cWhile playing for the Rafters, I think this is something I\u2019ll do every day.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"\"Treyton Tarver is a freshman at Arizona Christian University. He is batting .287 with three homers and 16 RBI. The two way-player outfielder and left-handed pitcher have made 21 appearances on the mound totaling a 4.06 ERA with 56 strikeouts to only 15 walks. Tarver chose Arizona Christian because he wanted\u00a0<\/span>to grow in his faith, and it is a great baseball program. The Surprise, Arizona native graduated from Shadow Ridge High School.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cI am looking forward to competing every day against great competition and getting to know some new guys on my team,\u201d said Tarver. \u201cEvery season has its ups and downs. Don\u2019t get too high on the highs or too low on the lows, as you just need to stay consistent.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Joe Ruth is a junior at LaGrange College. He is having a junior season for the ages. He is batting .442 with nine homers and 65 RBI. In all of Ruth\u2019s first three seasons at LaGrange from 2019-to 2021, he has been named a member of the USA South All-Conference team each season. In 2021, Ruth was named to the ABCA Rawlings South Region First Team and the D3Baseball.com All-South Region Second Team. This is the first summer that Ruth will participate in the college summer league.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m looking forward to playing in front of all the great fans and the Rafters Community,\u201d said Ruth. \u201cI\u2019m also looking forward to playing with and against some of college baseball\u2019s best talent. I\u2019m excited to get up there and play in front of and represent all of Rafters Fans. Word travels down south about how incredible Rafters fans make the environment every game!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
