\n\tMusicians, Singers and Groups Encouraged to Apply<\/em>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tWisconsin Rapids, Wis.- The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters have announced the date for auditions to perform the National Anthem during the 2014 season. Each season, the Rafters bring in local singers, musicians, and musical groups to perform the national anthem prior to each Rafters home game. Auditions will be held on Tuesday, May 20th from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAnyone interested in applying to sing or play the national anthem should send the following to Darren Besch at darren@raftersbaseball.com:\n<\/p>\n

\n\t1)  Three dates you are available to perform the national anthem at a Rafters home game.
\n\t2)  Your name, address, phone number, and email address.
\n\t3)  Indicate whether you are applying as an individual, or part of a musical group. If part of a group, please provide number in the group and their names as well.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Rafters open their season on Tuesday, May 27th when they take on the Kenosha Kingfish at 7:05 pm at Witter Field. Rafters single game tickets are on-sale now and can be purchased by visiting RaftersBaseball.com, calling the Rafters ticket office at 715-424-5400, or stopping by the Rafthouse at Witter Field.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Wisconsin Rapids Rafters are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Playing its 21st season of summer collegiate baseball, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 115 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (DET) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (WAS), Curtis Granderson (NYM), Allen Craig (STL) and Ben Zobrist (TB).
