\n\tOpen Two Game Series Against The Loggers<\/em>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tWisconsin Rapids, Wis. – The Rafters will hit the road for the next two games as they head west to La Crosse, Wis., where they will play the La Crosse Loggers in back-to-back days at Copeland Park. The first pitch for both games is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Rafters won their home opener yesterday and look to build on that success as they begin this short three game road trip. That win was not only the first Opening Day win in Rafters franchise history, but it was also the first Northwoods League win for new field manager Craig Noto. Brian Russell (College of Staten Island) gets the nod on the bump for the Rafters this evening, while the reigning Northwoods League Hitter of the night Kyle Devin (Rhode Island) looks to stay hot at the dish for Wisconsin Rapids.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter the La Crosse series, the Rafters will head to Madison for a weekend home and home series with the Madison Mallards.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Wisconsin Rapids Rafters are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Playing its 22nd season of summer collegiate baseball in 2015, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 120 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (WAS) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (WAS), Curtis Granderson (NYM), Lucas Duda (NYM) and Ben Zobrist (OAK).
