\n\t\tWisconsin Rapids, Wis. -The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters and Riverview Hospital have teamed up to present “Kids Day” at Witter Field on Friday, June 12th.  The event will be held from 10 am until 12 pm and will also include a bleacher ticket to that night’s game when the Rafters take on the Battle Creek Bombers at 7:05 pm.\n\t<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tRafters players and coaches will be on hand for the event, which will also include a flurry of activities around the ballpark and a lunch provided by the Rafters.  Lunch will include a hot dog, bag of chips, fresh fruit cup, and fountain soda.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tTickets for Kids day can be purchased by contacting the Rafters front office at (715) 424-5400 or by stopping by Witter Field from 9am-5pm daily.  Eight dollars gets you admission into the event, lunch and game ticket for the June 12th game.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Wisconsin Rapids Rafters are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Playing its 22nd season of summer collegiate baseball in 2015, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 120 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (WAS) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (WAS), Curtis Granderson (NYM), Lucas Duda (NYM) and Ben Zobrist (OAK).
