\n\tRafters Return to Wausau Seeking 3rd<\/sup> Straight Win<\/u><\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tWisconsin Rapids looks to top the Woodchucks for 3rd<\/sup> time in 2015<\/em>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tWausau, Wis- The Rafters bats were alive and well last Sunday at Athletic Park as Wisconsin Rapids defeated the Woodchucks 10-9. With yesterday’s game being postponed, the Rafters hope to still carry the momentum from Sunday’s win into today’s ball game. Both teams are currently 2-3 in the 2nd<\/sup> half and come into the game tonight tied for 5th<\/sup> place in the South Division standings.\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tBrian Russell (College of Staten Island) will be on the hill today for Wisconsin Rapids. The righty is 1-1 with a 2.85 ERA on the season. He has been especially outstanding in his last three starts, going 20 total innings, allowing only 3 earned runs, and opponents are batting .158 against him in those starts. The Rafters bats have also been on a tear the last two games, averaging 12 runs a ball game in the two wins, and 10 runs a game if you include their last three games. Jake Sandlin (Georgia College) has propelled the offense  in these last three games, going 7-10 with a home run and 5 RBI’s in that stretch.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Rafters return to Athletic Park again tomorrow, before heading to Michigan for a four game out of state trip. First pitch for today and tomorrow’s game will be at 6:35 PM. The Rafters will not return to Witter Field until July 14th  <\/sup>when they will face off against the Madison Mallards.
