\n\tRafters Split Series at C.O. Brown Stadium<\/u><\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tWisconsin Rapids moves to 4-1 on road trip<\/em>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tBattle Creek, Mich- The Rafters defeated Battle Creek for the fourth time this season by a score of 6-4 this evening. John Jaeger (Pacific) picked up his 2nd<\/sup> win of the season for the Rafters throwing  a scoreless 7th<\/sup> inning. Griffin Weir (Stanford) took the loss for Battle Creek, and James Davitt (Bryant) earned his 2nd<\/sup> save of the summer throwing two perfect innings for Wisconsin Rapids. The Rafters moved to 5-4 in the 2nd<\/sup> half with the win while the Bombers fell to 2-8 with the loss.\n<\/p>\n

\n\t \n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe visitors jumped out to two run lead in the first inning as Zack Domingues (Long Beach State) and Beau Jordan (LSU) both scored. The Rafters lead eventually was as large as 4-0 after Ryan Cleveland (Georgia Southern) hit his 2nd<\/sup> home run of the season in the top of the 5th<\/sup>. The Rafters first baseman was two for four on the game. The game was tied at four in the top of the 8th<\/sup> when Jake Sandlin (Southern Mississippi) hit his 13th<\/sup> double of the summer as Domingues and Dustin Woodcock (SIU Edwardsville) scored to give the Rafters the lead for good. The last 9 Bombers players to come to the plate were retired by Jaeger and Davitt were stellar at the back end of the Rafters bullpen.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Rafters head to Kalamazoo tomorrow for a weekend series. First pitch for tonight’s game will be at 6:05 PM C.S.T.. The Rafters will return to Witter Field July 14th  <\/sup>when they will face off against the Madison Mallards.
