\n\tWisconsin Rapids looks to take the season series lead on La Crosse after splitting the first three series<\/em>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tWisconsin Rapids, Wis. –<\/strong> In their final game at Witter Field before taking the All-Star break, the Rafters will host the La Crosse Loggers on Saturday night. It is the first Rosco P. Rafter bobblehead giveaway of the season, coinciding with Advanced Disposal “Go Green” Night. The bobblehead will feature Rosco P. Rafter assuming the identity of Eco-Man, Protector of the Environment.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tYesterday, the Rafters (22-25, 7-8) dropped both games of a doubleheader to the Kenosha Kingfish (35-18, 12-5) in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Rain postponed Thursday night’s affair, forcing the teams to play a twin-billing on Friday. Wisconsin Rapids took early leads in both games, but was unable to hold them, falling 4-2 in the first gameand 5-2 in game two.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Rafters will send Jack Riley to the hill looking to end their current three-game slide. The lefty from UConn is 3-1 on the year with a 2.20 ERA across 36.2 innings. Riley took a loss in his last start at Kalamazoo on July 11, but is looking to return to the form he had in his two prior starts when he earned wins over Green Bay and Madison.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tFirst pitch will be at 6:05 p.m., with gates opening at 5:05. As it is for every Saturday game at Witter Field, all kids in attendance will invited to run the bases following the conclusion of the game. Postgame fireworks will be shot off once all kids have cleared the field.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Wisconsin Rapids Rafters are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Playing its 22nd season of summer collegiate baseball in 2015, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 120 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (WAS) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (WAS), Curtis Granderson (NYM), Lucas Duda (NYM) and Ben Zobrist (OAK).
