\n\tDiPasquale and Stott Lead Rafters to Win Against Chinooks<\/u><\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tSix innings from the starter pave the way for Rapids in Lakeshore<\/em>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tWisconsin Rapids, Wis. – Even with a rain delay, Wisconsin Rapids’ (30-9) starting pitcher Quinn DiPasquale (5-1) tossed seven innings to pace the Rafters in a 3-2 win in Lakeshore (19-19) on Friday.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tFor the second straight game, the Rafters put a run on in the first inning. Bryson Stott walked and advanced to third when Lakeshore starter Austin Jones (1-1) picked off to first and the ball got away from the first basemen. Dustin Woodcock singled to left to put Rapids ahead 1-0.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tStott led off the third with a single, and scored for Rapids on a ball hit to third by Ryan Stekl as Jack Dunn rushed the throw over to first. Stott scored all the way from first as the ball rolled toward right field.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tDiPasquale worked in way in to trouble in the third, but left two Chinooks on base to preserve the 2-0 lead heading into the fourth.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter a rain delay, Rapids loaded the bases on three straight walks from new pitcher Peter Bovenzi of Lakeshore. Nick Campe entered to pitch for the Chinooks, and got a double play, but delivered a wild pitch to bring home the Rafters third run of the game.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tLakeshore loaded the bases in the fifth inning, scoring one run on a fielder’s choice by the Rafters defense to pull the score to 3-1. The RBI is credited to Matthew Mika for the Chinooks. Lakeshore added one in the sixth on passed ball with the bases loaded to pull the game to 3-2.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tCameron Busby earned the save for the second time this season, tossing a scoreless ninth to close the door for the Rafters in a 3-2 victory. DiPasquale earns his fifth win on the season, while the loss goes to Jones.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tStott led the Rafters, reaching base four times, twice with a hit, and twice with a walk.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tCoverage of tomorrow’s game starts at 6:20 p.m. for a 6:35 p.m. first pitch in Lakeshore on AM 1320 WFHR and WFHR.com, the Rafters Radio Network. This is the second and final game of the series.\n<\/p>\n
