Musicians, Singers and Groups Encouraged to Apply\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters have announced the dates for auditions to perform the National Anthem during the 2018 season. Each season, the Rafters bring in local singers, musicians, and musical groups to perform the National Anthem prior to each Rafters home game. This year there will be two chances to audition, with the first coming Wednesday, May 16th from 5:00\u20106:00 pm. If you are unable to make that time, another audition will be held on Saturday, May 19th<\/sup> from 1:00\u20102:00 pm.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Anyone interested in applying to sing or play the National Anthem should send the following to Emily Steines at <\/span>emily@raftersbaseball.com<\/a>:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

1) Three dates you are available to perform the National Anthem at a Rafters home game.<\/span><\/p>\n

2) Your name, address, phone number, and email address.<\/span><\/p>\n

3) Indicate whether you are applying as an individual, or part of a musical group. If part of a group, please provide number in the group and their names as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

4) Indicate which of the two audition dates you will be attending.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Entering its 25th anniversary season, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 20 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 190 former Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including three-time Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (WAS), two-time World Series Champions Ben Zobrist (CHC) and Brandon Crawford (SFG) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (BOS), Jordan Zimmermann (DET) and Curtis Granderson (TOR).\u00a0 All league games are viewable live via the Northwoods League portal.
