Ty Duvall (Vanderbilt), Trayson Kubo (Stephen F. Austin) and Jack-Thomas Wold (UNLV) all contributed to a 4-1 win for the home team in the South Division clash.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Trayson Kubo started the South Division matchup at the MLDS pitching the first two frames with a hit, strikeout and walk. \u00a0Ty Duvall went 2-for-2 and an RBI with two base hits. Duvall brought in the first run of the game in the second with a base hit to right. Wold was hitless but worked a walk and scored the third run of the game for the home team off a hit from Lakeshore\u2019s Christian Boulware. Kubo was awarded the win for the home team while Madison\u2019s Trace Norkus got the save.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Rafters start the final five games of the season tomorrow. The cranberry and gold host the Battle Creek Bombers in the season series finale between the two clubs. First pitch from Witter Field is 7:05 pm CT.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>###<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Now in its 25th anniversary season, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 20 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, 200 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including three-time Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (WAS), two-time World Series Champions Ben Zobrist (CHC) and Brandon Crawford (SFG) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (BOS), Jordan Zimmermann (DET) and Curtis Granderson (TOR).
