Rafters\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/span>To Hold 6th Annual \u201cHot Stove\u201d Rendezvous Event On January 10th<\/sup><\/b><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n Event to Feature 2016 Summer Collegiate World Series Champions Blair Lakso and Dustin Woodcock.<\/i><\/span><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.- The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters have partnered with the Hotel Mead & Conference Center to hold the 6th Annual Rafters \u201cHot Stove\u201d Rendezvous on Thursday, January 10th.\u00a0The event will feature two former Rafter players from the 2016 Championship team; Blair Lakso and Dustin Woodcock. Lakso just completed his second season within the Twins organization posting a solid sophomore season, where he finished with a 3.66 ERA and a 6-2 record. Woodcock is coming off his fourth and final season as a Rafter. He holds many team career records, but none more prominent than his 177 games played. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Doors to the banquet will open at 6 p.m. for social hour, with the hot stove baseball talk beginning at 7 p.m. At the event, the Rafters will talk plans for the 10th anniversary season, including the unveiling of a\u00a0commemorative\u00a0logo and the release of the Greatest Rafter of all-time voting. Other topics to be covered by Rafters front office personnel will include a Q&A with a member from the coaching staff, incoming players, and proposed ballpark improvements for the 2019 season. Coaches from area baseball programs will also be on hand to speak about their upcoming seasons. Following the banquet, all special guests will be available to greet fans and sign autographs. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Tickets to the event are available now for $12 and will be $17 day at the door. Included with each ticket is access to the event, a buffet-style dinner and complimentary punch and water.\u00a0A cash bar will also be provided by Hotel Mead. All children 10 and under are FREE to attend. A raffle will also take place at the event for items including a 20-person Rat Trap Party, signed memorabilia, Point Craft River Tickets and more. All money raised at this event will be put into ballpark improvements at Witter Field for the 2019 season.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Tickets to the Hot Stove Rendezvous are on sale NOW and can be purchased by calling the Rafters office at 715-424-5400 or by stopping into the Rafthouse Team Shop at Witter Field.
