Wausau, WIS- Albee Weiss and Max Ponzurick each hit a solo home run Friday night, which proved to be the difference as the Wisconsin Woodchucks defeated the Duluth Huskies 6-4 at Athletic Park.

After a scoreless first inning, Wisconsin and Duluth each scored one run in the second. The Chucks’ run came on an RBI double by Jared Oliva, plating Mason Fishback.

Duluth scored two more in the third, but the Chucks got three of their own in the bottom of the inning to take a 4-3 lead. Ponzurick walked to start the frame and then LJ Hatch singled. After Al Molina was set down, Weiss scored a run with a double to left center. Fishback brought Hatch and Weiss home with a 2-RBI single later in the frame.
