Wausau, WIS- The Wisconsin Woodchucks finished their four-game homestand with two victories after falling 8-1 to the Duluth Huskies Saturday night at Athletic Park.

The game remained scoreless until the fourth inning, when the Chucks crossed one run. Wisconsin loaded the bases for Mason Fishback, who hit an infield single to bring home Max Ponzurick.

Duluth scored two runs in the fifth and three runs in the sixth, capped off by a two-run Elijah Dilday home run to put the Huskies up 5-1. The Huskies added three more runs in the ninth to seal the 8-1 victory.

Devin Skapura started on the mound for the Chucks and delivered four and two thirds innings of work. He gave up six hits, two runs and three walks while striking out six.

The Chucks’ next three games will all be against the Madison Mallards. Tomorrow Wisconsin heads to Warner Park, where first pitch will be at 3:05 p.m., and then the Chucks will host a doubleheader of seven-inning contests Monday at Athletic Park beginning at 5:05 p.m.
